Hanover Airport Guide to Hanover-Langenhagen Airport

Hannover Airport Terminals

Hannover Airport was first opened in 1952 in Langenhagen in replacement of the old airfield. In 1973, there were built two of the three current terminals. Their modern compact design inspired the shape of other airports such as Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow.

It wasn’t until 1998 that Terminal C opened its gates and increased the handled passenger numbers.

Since 2000, the S-Bahn connects the airport terminals with Hannover Central Station.

In the recent years, Hannover Airport experienced a lesser demand due to the cease of many of the low-cost flights.

Hannover Airport is composed by three concourses (Terminal A, Terminal B and Terminal C). Each concourse has its own boarding gates separate and amenities.

Transfer between terminals

You can transfer between concourses (terminals) by the inner corridors than joints one each other.

Levels

Given that the terminals in Hannover Airport are organized in a compact way, they are located within the same levels and separated by corridors. Hannover Airport Terminals are split into two levels as follows:
